Under the terms of the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers, approved by Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December, which transposed Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and Article 8(1) of the General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption, approved by Decree-Law No. 109-E/2021, of 9 December, AgroAguiar – Agroindústria SA ensures, in accordance with the applicable regime, the implementation of an internal reporting channel.

The reporting channel is a secure means of reporting infringements, ensuring total anonymity and confidentiality of communications. It is based on a reporting management system designed to protect the identity of the whistleblower, which can only be revealed in strict compliance with legal obligations or by court order.

This channel plays an essentially preventive role, functioning as a tool for self-regulation and self-control, allowing AgroAguiar – Agroindústria SA to intervene, based on information reported in good faith, to correct improper behaviour and prevent future occurrences. Its actions are aimed exclusively at promoting the public interest, ensuring compliance with legislation, internal regulations and the company’s corporate values.
