Aware of an adverse global situation caused by the pandemic, the weather conditions are being favourable to the production of Portuguese chestnuts, and we therefore expect a good harvest.
We do not underestimate the risks faced annually associated with climatic uncertainty and the presence of the well-known pest Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu (aka “chestnut gall wasp”), however, we maintain for 2020 the expectation of repeating the excellence and abundance we had in 2019.
That said, we offer you chestnuts with certification of origin, grown according to Global Gap parameters, processed and packaged according to AgroAguiar – IFS Food quality specifications. In a particularly difficult year for everyone, AgroAguiar is focused on supporting our member farmers and the needs of our customers.
